Your computer is currently sitting in a home, school or office in Ireland. We are waiting for it to be brought to Camara's workshop in Dublin or Belfast.

In 2009 we collected some 9,000 computers from around Ireland, 6,500 of which we were able to reuse. Unfortunately some 190,000 were still recycled despite the fact that the UN says reusing a computers 'is some 20 times more effective at saving life cycle energy use than recycling.'

The video below illustrates some of the hazards of improper recycling of computers.

In addition to your computer, Camara hopes to send out another 7,000 computers as educational tools to schools in Africa in 2010 but we need your house, school or company to give them to us first!

Do you, your school or your business have computers? Think about re-using them with Camara. Find out why >>
